 Welcome to Pulse Shower

Using water effectively is key to sustainability. Pulse Eco Shower heralds a breakthrough in water efficiency with a unique technique redefining shower performance as we know it.

Scandinavian engineering has designed a shower head concept for the ultimate balance of water consumption with shower performance, through class leading technology.

A turbine vane innovation drives water  in cloud burst releases, harnessing the physical properties of water drops like no other - a technique unique to PulseShowers.

Bringing you unrivalled water and energy savings, leading comfort and performance standards, unique hygiene control & durability features - welcome to PulseEcoShower.

Medwyn Davies says:. "This showerhead has been a revelation. The shower experience is as good if not better than when I was using a showerhead with twice the flow."

Stephen Kay, Managing Director, Cambridge Water PLC says :"I have tried a number of water efficient shower heads but this is the first to be completely acceptable to all my family!!!"

Danny Davis, Senior Technical Officer, Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers says: "I have been very impressed with the Pulse Eco Shower, it not only saves water, but the technology behind it means that the reduction in water consumption is not to the detriment of the showering experience"

Daisy Green Magazine Founder Nicola Alexander

"We reviewed the Pulse Eco Shower for the magazine and loved it so much we decided to keep it! It's great to know that our lovely relaxing showers now use significantly less water, there is no limescale build up and they are very reasonably priced "

Unique Factors for the ECO Shower

No Sieve Plate
For a bacterial culture to establish, it needs to anchor to a suitable surface. This can either be the biolm left as water cools across the face of the showerhead, the rubber nipples on traditional anti limescale heads or nooks and recesses in the layers at the face of some heads. The key to the Pulse Shower regarding this issue is that the only point where a bio film can potentially grow is at the face of the showerhead on a smooth metal surface, which is a fraction of the surface area when compared to the expanse of most showerheads. Metal surfaces do not encourage biolm growth.

Nutrition
Limescale contains many nutrients such as calcium, manganese and iron which will settle on certain areas of a showerhead when the water cools, most likely at the face. These layers of deposited materials are termed as bio film. Biolm and limescale tend to remain behind when the water evaporates.

Pooling of water in the recesses of a sieve plate type head and the nal drops from rubber nipples type heads tend to exaggerate biolm build up. As this pooling and cooling/evaporation occurs repeatedly, the layers of bio film deepen, embedding bacteria within, an ideal nutritional for growth and spore formation. Showerheads are ideal locations in a water system for this deposition of biolm to occur as most are aerobic and will have access to air here. These biolm deposits are reduced dramatically with the Pulse Shower.

Moisture
All organisms require water for survival and growth. Pooling of water in the shower head encourages such growth. Water will pool in the recesses of a sieve plate type head and sit until it evaporates or the shower is reused. This warm tepid pool provides an ideally environment and temperature for microbial growth.

Aeration
Aside from the majority of problematic bacterium being aerobic, the most common problem bacteria associated with water systems, Legionella, needs to be inhaled into the individual's lungs to cause an eect , so atomization caused by aeration or inner turbulence at the shower head provides the ideal conditions for transfer by inhalation. Unlike aerated-type flow controls, laminar ow does not draw ambient room air into the water stream, reducing dramatically the volume of airborne bacteria.

In summary, The Pulse Eco Shower  head has a unique design and mode of water delivery that reduces the suitability of an environment for pathogens. By using a metal contact area at the exit point makes for reduced risk of biofilm build up. Not using the sieve - plate as a way of distribution means we can also reduce the volume and area for stagnent water. This alos reduces the amount of area for calcium build up from evaporation.
